We left home at 9:50 to catch our 11:15 flight to Seattle, should
have waited around the house for another half hour to leave home, gotta love our little airport! The flight to Seattle was an hour and a half and were on the ground in Seattle by
1:30. It was easy to find the light
rail, or Link, once we claimed our luggage.
From the airport it was about a 45 minute ride to Westlake Center, where
we were met by Bob and Jan. From there
it was about a 30 minute walk to their condo in Bell Town.

By 7:00 Mark had downed a cup of coffee and was down in the city
for a morning walk about while I sipped my coffee and watched Sunday Morning
and traveled to Florence.
We walked
downstairs to Macrina Bakery and Cafe for an egg sandwich and French Toast and
a wonderful cup of coffee.
Walking down to the Ferry Terminal took us through Pikes Place and all the sights and sounds found nearby.
It was a 35 minute ride from the ferry terminal across the sound to Bainbridge Island where were met at the dock by Bob and Jan.
They showed us around town and through the Art Museum which was very nice for such a small town. We relaxed and walked along the beach for most of the rest of the afternoon and caught an early ferry back to Seattle.
Once back to Pikes Market Jan and Bob showed us the downstairs shopping area and the gum wall, gross!
We walked back downtown for outstanding pizza at Serious Pie.
We had 2 fantastic pizzas, one potato rosemary with pecorino and the other more traditional with fennel sausage. Mark’s fit bit said we had walked 20 K, 12.5 miles.

This morning we said goodbye to Seattle, called for an Uber from the condo lobby and were at the gate by 8:30 to board our flight to
Sitka.
